RICK DODGE / Executive Vice President

Rick Dodge is recognized as a leader in the design and construction of self-storage facilities and metal roofing projects, supervising over 75 million square feet of facilities construction. He joined Paramount Metal Systems in 2009 as executive vice president of operations and is responsible for expanding Paramount’s national and international presence.

Entering the steel industry in 1980 in the Dallas/Fort Worth steel component market, during which time he was instrumental in the innovation of light gauge steel design, and he co-designed the 5×10 framing grid system for single and multi-story storage construction. Through 1988, Rick concentrated in the rapidly growing self-storage industry and served in such managerial positions as plant operations, sales, and marketing.

In 1988, Rick joined a leading national storage manufacturer and constructor as construction and purchasing manager responsible for coordinating the in-house manufacturing, buy-out materials and the subcontract erection crews for the Eastern United States. In 1991, he became a partner of the parent company and was responsible for manufacturing, engineering, and the field labor. Oversight of national sales and marketing was added in 1995. Through his tenure, Rick helped revenue grow from $9.5 million to over $40 million through diversifying into other commercial markets and expanding two new manufacturing facilities.

Rick’s expertise in metal building construction, light gauge steel design, steel trusses and component manufacturing are invaluable assets to Paramount Metal System’s clients in various market segments which include, but are not limited to, the hotel and health care industry, residential markets and retrofit roofing.
